Airtel Money Kenya Expands Reach Through Partnership with Naivas Supermarkets
Airtel Money Kenya has announced a strategic partnership with Naivas Supermarket, enabling Airtel Money customers to deposit and withdraw cash at all 109 Naivas branches nationwide. This collaboration is part of Airtel Money’s broader initiative to expand its agent network and bring financial services closer to customers.
During the signing ceremony, Airtel Money Managing Director Anne Kinuthia-Otieno highlighted the partnership’s significance in enhancing customer convenience.
“Today marks a significant milestone as we join hands with Naivas Supermarket to bring enhanced convenience to our customers. This partnership underscores Airtel Money’s commitment to ensuring that our services are easily accessible while providing seamless and affordable financial solutions,” she stated.
To incentivize usage, customers transacting at Naivas branches will benefit from free withdrawal services under the ongoing Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign. Launched in December 2023, the campaign reimburses withdrawal fees as Airtel airtime. For instance, a Ksh 25 withdrawal fee on a Ksh 1,000 transaction is refunded as airtime, which can be used for calls, data, or SMS.
Airtel Kenya Managing Director Ashish Malhotra emphasized that the partnership aligns with the company’s mission to prioritize customer convenience and affordability.
Naivas Chief of Operations Peter Mukuha echoed similar sentiments, stating, “This collaboration enhances accessibility and empowers our customers with seamless financial services. It is a testament to our commitment to improving the lives of our customers.”
Airtel Money Kenya plans to continue expanding its agent network through partnerships with key stakeholders, solidifying its position as a leader in mobile financial services.
