Co-op Bank Organizes Exclusive Summit for National Cooperative CEOs in Mombasa
The Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSME Development, Mr. Simon Chelugui, officially inaugurated the National Co-operatives Chief Executive Officers meeting last night at Pride Inn, Mombasa.
This event, organized by Co-op Bank, convenes cooperative leaders from across the nation to deliberate on issues of mutual interest.
In a statement, Co-op Bank highlighted that through its subsidiary, Co-op Consultancy, a series of forums have been programmed to engage cooperative leaders at various levels.
“Co-op Bank is hosting National Cooperative CEOs for a meeting at Pride Inn, Mombasa,” the statement read. These forums are part of the consultancy’s annual training calendar, which includes courses in IT, marketing, customer service, finance, and compliance.
Prominent attendees of the event included Dr. Gideon Muriuki, Group Managing Director and CEO of Co-operative Bank; Mr. Patrick Kilemi, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperative and MSME Development; Mr. Macloud Malonza, Chairman of Co-opHolding Co-operative Society and Vice Chairman of Co-op Bank; and and the Commissioner for Cooperatives, Mr. David Obonyo among others.
The meeting aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among cooperative leaders, addressing critical topics that impact the cooperative sector and exploring avenues for growth and development.
