Museum of Illusions to Launch in Nairobi, Bringing Mind-Bending Exhibits to Kenya

The world-renowned Museum of Illusions (MOI) is set to open its doors in Nairobi, marking a major milestone in the museum’s global expansion. The exclusive launch event will take place on January 24, 2025, with the museum opening to the public on January 25, 2025, at Laxon Court Plaza, Parklands, Ground Floor.

With over 50 locations worldwide, including New York, Paris, and Dubai, Nairobi now joins the ranks of cities hosting this innovative museum. The Museum of Illusions Nairobi will feature more than 60 exhibits, blending optical illusions, immersive rooms, holograms, and stereograms to create a unique fusion of education and entertainment for visitors of all ages.

Opening Hours:

  • Monday to Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Thursday to Sunday: 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • Moha, the Father of Matatu Culture, has designed the Reversed Room, inspired by Nairobi’s iconic matatus.
  • Lulu Kitololo reinterprets traditional Kenyan jewelry and fabrics through a contemporary lens.
  • Brian Omolo showcases a mural celebrating Nairobi’s urban culture.

These collaborations highlight MOI’s commitment to showcasing and celebrating Kenya’s rich cultural heritage.
