Naivas Expands Presence with 103rd Outlet on Thika Road
Naivas has made a triumphant return to the bustling Thika Road, the legacy highway, with the inauguration of its 103rd outlet, marking the second grand opening this year.
This latest addition comes hot on the heels of the retailer’s 102nd branch, which debuted just a month ago at Mwanzi Market along Mwanzi Road in Westlands.
The unveiling of this new outlet elevates the total count of Naivas branches in the greater Thika Road region to an impressive 12, encompassing all store formats that the retailer operates.
“Strategically positioned within a mixed-use development, the new outlet boasts a prime location alongside various complementary businesses, including a renowned multinational fast-food chain and a petrol station,” remarked Andreas von Paleske, Chief of Strategy at Naivas.
“This symbiotic relationship among diverse enterprises ensures that every shopper’s needs are seamlessly catered to within the establishment. Moreover, the accessibility of the location directly from the highway enables convenient ingress and egress, allowing travelers to effortlessly resume their journeys.”
“Of paramount importance is the diverse range of high-quality products stocked within the new store, encompassing everything from fresh produce to commodities and fast-moving consumer goods,” von Paleske continued. “This comprehensive selection ensures that patrons can find everything they need under one roof, enhancing their shopping experience manifold.”
Commenting on this significant milestone, Peter Mukuha, Chief of Operations at Naivas, expressed pride in the supermarket’s pioneering achievement of surpassing the 100-branch milestone in Kenya.
“As the first supermarket in the country to scale beyond 100 branches, we recognize that we are charting uncharted waters,” remarked Mukuha. “Nevertheless, we are confident that this milestone will be etched into the annals of history and commemorated in research papers for generations to come.”
He further attributed Naivas’s success to the robust foundations laid by its founders, the Mukuha family, and the strategic partnerships forged over time. Notably, the lead consortium of investors, IBL, brings to the table a wealth of experience garnered from 190 years of successful global family business, bolstering Naivas’s standing in the market.
“Echoing this sentiment, Peter Mukuha, Chief of Operations at Naivas, reiterated the company’s commitment to providing a world-class shopping experience rooted in authentic Kenyan hospitality,” added Mukuha.
“Our mission has always been to deliver a world-class shopping experience, and we have remained steadfast in this endeavor by establishing outlets that rival global brands while staying true to our Kenyan roots.”
He emphasized Naivas’s dedication to its promise of “saves you money,” particularly during challenging economic times, as the retailer strives to alleviate financial burdens on Kenyan consumers.
“Looking ahead, Naivas has exciting plans for expansion, with upcoming outlets slated for Lang’ata and Buruburu,” concluded von Paleske.
“These endeavors underscore the company’s unwavering commitment to serving communities across Kenya. As Naivas continues to evolve and grow, it remains dedicated to its core values of quality, affordability, and unparalleled customer service, ensuring that every shopping experience is nothing short of exceptional.
