NCBA, Tatu City ink mortgage financing deal

NCBA has partnered with Tatu City to enable aspiring home owners access mortgages at the Kiambu County-based Special Economic Zone development.

Under the deal, NCBA will provide a suite of options to prospective homeowners including plot purchase, construction financing, buy and build loans, equity release and closing costs. Mortgages are available to both salaried and non-salaried customers of Tatu City where salaried buyers will enjoy payment terms up to retirement age while non-salaried customers will have terms up to the age of 65. Buy and Build financing is available up to 100%. This facility enables customers buy a piece of land and construct simultaneously. For customers who already own a piece of land, our construction solution will go a long way in actualizing their dreams.

 Commenting on the partnership, NCBA Head of Property Finance, Stella Mutai acknowledged the financial constraints that first time home owners go through and the deal was meant to ease the burden from potential home buyers in a bid to enable them realise their dream. “Owning a home has never been easier, this partnership has been designed to enable home buyers realise their dream of living and working at Tatu City without the strain of upfront costs,” she said.

On her part, Tatu City head of residential sales Beatrice Njeri quipped that it was increasingly becoming a right for every citizen to access and afford their home of choice. “At Tatu City, we believe that accessible home ownership is the right of every citizen,”

Tatu City home and business owners enjoy amenities such as Nova Pioneer school and Crawford International school. Further, businesses at Tatu City enjoy Special Economic Zone status, such as reduced corporate taxes and zero-rated VAT in the city.
