Kenya has recorded 23 new positive COVID-19 cases bringing the total to 672 confirmed cases in the country.
On a more positive note, 32 more patients have fully recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 239.
The confirmed cases were from a total of 1,056 samples taken in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of tested individuals to 32,097. The age bracket for the confirmed cases ranged from 1 year, nine months for the youngest and 80 years for the oldest. Out of the new cases, 22 are Kenyans and one Burundian.
Of the new cases, 20 were flagged by the surveillance teams while 3 were from the quarantine centres. In terms of gender, 13 of the confirmed cases were male while 10 were female.
Mombasa County registered 12 new cases, whilst Mandera, Nairobi and Kajiado registered 6 cases, 4 case and 1 case respectively.
Of the Narobi cases, 2 came from Umoja estate, 1 each from Komarock and Pipeline. In Mombasa, 8 cases were from Mvita whilst Likoni and Kisauni had 2 cases each.
The Country has registered 2 more fatalities, all from Mombasa, bringing the total number to 32 COVID-19 related deaths.
