Former mayors international (FMI) and Kenya Former Councillors Association (KEFOCA) have declared their support for the Building Bridges Initiative saying that they are open for consultation.

The lobby which draws its membership from the former administrations lauded the peace initiatives saying they know what is ailing the country.

”We as the Former Councillors and Mayors have remained opinion leaders in our respective counties  and locations, we would therefore wish to see Kenya Led by national leaders but not tribal leaders who divide the country” said former Nairobi Mayor and Chairman FMI Nathan Kahara.

Kahara noted that the report will serve as a bridge that will take the country to an era of political calm and cohesion, enabling Kenyans to thrive in their activities.

HE said the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga enabled Kenyans to invest in places they could not before and therefore appealed to all those who where campaigning to do it in a peaceful manner that will maintain the unity of the country
