William Kabogo unveils his running mate in preparation for August
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has settled on Esther Ndirangu as his running for the Kiambu Gubernatorial race.
Kabogo said that his decision came immense consultation and intense scrutiny in his bid to oust the incumbent Governor James Nyoro.
“After immense consultation and intense scrutiny, I have chosen Madam Esther Ndirangu as My Deputy Governor for Kiambu County under the Tujibebe Wakenya Party in the August 9th Gubernatorial election,” said Kabogo.
Esther Ndirangu has served as County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education and Social Services under his administration between 2013 – 2014.
According to the former Governor, Ndirangu spearheaded the Kiambu County Uji programme, over-saw the refurbishment of ECDE’s and the employment of over 1500 ECDE care givers.
“She is an experienced International Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the education management industry, skilled in Educational Assessment, Secondary Education, Educational Consulting, Lesson Planning, and Educational Technology,” he said.
The Kiambu Gubernatorial seat has attracted over seven leaders; six affiliated to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and one from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition.
Gatundu South MP has nominated Faith Mwaura to deputize him while Thika MP Patrick Wainana alias Wajungle who is vying as an independent candidate picked former Kiambu Woman Rep Anne Nyokabi Gatheca as his running mate.
Others in the race include; Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi (UDA) and former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
