Transsion Holding subsidiary, Tecno, popularly referred to as “King of Africa” has released two phones in a bid to try cement its market share in the continent.
Tecno Camon 15 and Camon 15 Pro are the smartphone maker’s first devices to pack a 48MP quad shooter camera setup.
The two smartphones are also the first devices of the brand to come with Andriod 10 and plenty of AI features from out of the box.
As of now, the two new phones are only available in India with a launch in Kenya expected soon. That said, it’s worthy to note that since entering the Indian market, Transsion group has really focused market, which is understandable because of the sheer market size. However, the African market is what gave Transsion its name and as it starts drifting to the East, thanks to the exclusive launches there, some smartphone brands have recognized the opportunity and the growing African market.
Tecno Camon 15 and Camon 15 Pro are affordable mid-range smartphones with some flagship features to give the consumer the ultimate experience at a relatively affordable cost.
Tecno Camon 15
Tecno Camon 15 features a 6.55-inch display with a punch-hole. The phone has a16MP selfie camera and a 5,000mAH battery
Tecno Camon 15 Pro
Tecno Camon 15 Pro packs a 6.53-inch display with a full HD+ resolution. The device comes with a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and is powered by a Helio P35 chipset. The phone has a 32MP pop-up selfie camera and at the rear, it packs a 48MP quad-camera setup.
Tecno Camon 15 comes in three colors, Shoal Gold, Fascinating Purple and Jade and will be priced at approximately Ksh 14,000. On the other hand, Camon 15 Pro comes in Ice Jadeite and Opal White color options priced at around Ksh 21,000
