22bet launches tournament for Bodaboda riders

22 Bet  has announced the launch of football tournaments across the country to sensitise boda boda riders on safety and responsible gambling.

The tournaments  will be held in conjuction with Boda boda Assocoation and will be conducted across the country in 10 counties.

According Eric Mwai 22Bet Media Commomunications officer, the winners of the tournament will take home 1 million alongside other prizes.

” Winning team will be awarded Ksh1 million, we have also partnered with TVS motorcycles  who will also give mortobikes to the participants of the tournaments.” Said Mwai.

The counties that will undertake the inaugural tournament are mombasa, Kwale,  Nairobi, Kiambu, nyandarua, Nyeri , Embu Kajiado and machakos

Kevin Mubadi the National Chairman Boda Boda Association says that the initiative will support Road safety sensitization programmes for its members.

“We will be taking this tournament there to ensure that our members participate. The  partnership will be based on ensuring safety for the boda boda riders we are looking to sensitise 1.4 million  riders with the tournaments.” Added Mubadi.

Alongside the tournaments the participants will also have to undergo training on responsible gambling, economic empowerment and financial management.

This will be the first edition of the competition

“This will be an annual event this is the first edition, We started with football  but will diverse to other sports in future,” said Mwai
