Sportpesa Reduces Minimum Stake to Ksh10
- Minimum stake slashed by 80%
It will now cost punters as little as Ksh10 to place a bet on SportPesa platform.
The 80 per cent stake reduction will apply to all bets except the company’s jackpots which will still cost Ksh99/= per stake.
“This is in response to requests by our customers on new offerings that they can engage in on our platform. It is simply us telling the customer that we are listening and this is just the beginning of what else is to come,” said SportPesa CEO Capt. Ronald Karauri.
“Our innovation team is working hard to give the customers an exciting and convenient user experience. There is more to come.”
Since the beginning of the year, Sportpesa has awarded over Ksh 54 million to jackport winners.
The latest Jackport winner was a shoe hawker Simon Musembi Mutisya, who took home Ksh 10,000,000 won from the Mid WeekJackpot. Nairobi-based car spare parts winner Mutuku Muoka won Ksh12 million in January followed by Maurice Vidija Muliango who won Ksh21 million in April and Charles Bonzo Musyoki who won Ksh11,515,591 in May.
The Midweek Jackpot comprises of 13 select games per week and starts from Ksh 10 million increasing each week until there is a winner.
Aside from sports betting and supporting the sports industry, SportPesa through the Sportpesa Foundation has since March supported the maternity units of several health centres in Nairobi, Bomet, Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Kiambu and Homabay counties. The Foundation focuses its support on maternal care and ending period poverty by promoting menstrual hygiene projects.
SportPesa also gave a shot in the arm to the Wazee Pamoja League with a Ksh800,000 sponsorship.
