Kenya records the highest number of daily COVID-19 cases since the outbreak

Kenya has today recorded 24 positive COVID-19 cases being the highest number of coronavirus since outbreak bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 435 patients.
The confirmed cases where were from a total of 1195 samples taken in the last 24 hour hours. In terms of gender, 10 were male and 14 females spread across Nairobi and Mombasa counties.
7 of the new cases are from Kawangware, 10 from Eastleigh,5 from Mombasa, and 2 cases from Kuria in Migori Country of individuals with recent travel history.
The Country has registered one more fatality bring the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 22.
Two more patients have been discharged from hospital bring the total number of recoveries to 152.
Speaking during the daily COVID-19 briefing, Health CAS Mercy Mwangangi decried the laxity in adhering to the Ministry’s measures by various businesses including, barber shops, saloons, caffeine shops and restaurants.
