Co-op bank, Kodris partner to deepen coding skills In Kenya
Cooperative Bank of Kenya has partnered with Kodris Africa, to spearhead the advancement of coding education in Kenya.
This strategic collaboration represents a significant step in the quest to equip Kenyan students with crucial digital skills for the future.

Taking to their social media, the Bank announced their collaboration with Kodris Africa, a pioneer in the field of educational technology (EdTech) and the first company in Kenya to receive approval from the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).
“We have partnered with Kodris Africa, Kenya’s 1st KICD-approved EdTech platform, to bring to your child an essential skill of the future…CODING,” bank said in statement.
This announcement underscored the bank’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that every Kenyan child has the opportunity to acquire this vital skill.
The bank added, “Join us for an informative online session to learn how your child can get started with coding,”
Kodris Africa is the provider of Kenya’s first-ever government-approved programme for teaching coding which is now the most demanded skill in the world.
The programme is classified as curriculum support material at KICD but is also applicable to students in all other modern education systems.
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development approved a programme for teaching coding which is now in the roll-out stages in the country.
The programme is online based and individuals can choose to purchase licenses so that students who have access to computers and the Internet at home can access the programme
