Nairobi Govenor Mike Sonko has called on Kenyan youths to forfeit retrogressive social behaviors that may halt their growth in life.
Sonko who has recently turned to the scripture to encourage Kenyans going through economic turmoil, believes that the youths can make good of the little resources they have if given the right guidance.
“Followers wangu wa
Facebook,Twitter,Instagram and fellow Kenyans asanteni Sana na mjue when the defeat, the mistake, the hurt comes back up on the movie screen of your mind, do yourself a favor, change the channel,” Said Sonko.
The govenor who has vowed to use the year 2020 as an opportunity to guide and offer counseling to young people, says his past life and decisions he made is enough testimony to many Kenyans facing difficulties .
Mimi huambia wasee Mungu amenitoa mbali sana na niko na Imani God ako na plans poa za kila mtu.So majamaa hii mwaka wa 2020 always to have the attitude, “I’m not going backward, I’m not living in regret, I’m not rehearsing failures, I’m moving forward. I may have had some bad breaks, but I know better is the end.” Sonko said on his Facebook account.
The governor is this year expected to embark on serious humanitarian activities through his Sonko Rescue Team outfit where more youths will be absorbed.
The govenor has recently stated that he is proud of the progress he has made since taking over the leadership of the county in August 2017.
” We have made massive progress in the health sector where we have upgraded our main health facilities,we have done more that 120 kms of road , build three new fire stations, done four new markets, build a Stadium and plenty more for our residents,” Sonko told Bizwatchkenya News.
