Kibo Africa hosted the 2nd edition of the company’s annual customer appreciation fun-day called Ride Like A Champ this comes as the motorcycle manufacturer is marking six years of operations in Kenya.

The event is part of Kibo’s initiative to celebrate and support customers on their Kibo ownership journey. This year’s event was held at The Waterfront Mall in the Karen Area of Nairobi. The event was hosted by Kibo Africa C.E.O Mr. Huib Van De Grijspaarde,

“We have experienced tremendous growth over the last six years and we can attribute this to the great relationship we share with our customers. Investing in our customer retention channels is an opportunity to better serve our customers as we keep our promise to deliver complete support in the Kibo ownership process” said Kibo CEO Mr. Huib Van De Grijspaarde as he addressed the guests at the Bikers event.

As organizations and businesses continue to grow, so have their needs for various mobility solutions. One of these solutions is motorcycles that Kibo Africa designs and manufactures.

What started with the sale of a few motorcycles in 2017 Kibo has now grown into a household name in the mobility segment in Kenya with Kibo motorcycles being present in every corner of Kenya.

Due to increasing demand for Kibo motorcycles, the company has established a customer service clinic that has the Kibo technical team travel round the country ensuring that all Kibo motorcycles go through a rigorous diagnostic check as well as service and maintenance of the motorcycle.

“Everywhere you go in this country you are likely to spot a Kibo Motorcycle. They are being used by security companies, non-profit organizations, government, state corporations, as well as many other organizations and individuals. That is why it is paramount that we have this event each year to appreciate our customers and to collect feedback that will help us continually improve our customers Kibo experience” added Mr. Huib Van De Grijspaarde.

The Ride Like A Champion event started with a adventurous bike ride that took Kibo motorcycles enthusiasts on 90km ride from Karen to Kisamis in Ngong Hills.

The scenic route was designed to offer the Kibo riders an experience of the bikes on different types of terrain and challenge them on how to safely navigate their bikes in challenging terrains and environments.

The event also saw the Kibo enthusiasts receive information on how to maintain their Kibo motorcycles and ensure optimum usage and performance at all times. The event was attended by over 200 Kibo motorcycle owners and company representatives from all over the country.

Kibo Africa ventured into the Kenyan market in 2017 with the launch of the 1st generation motorcycle, the Kibo K150 series. Kibo Africa also made further investments in product innovation to address existing gaps in the market.

This led to expansion of its product offering with the launch of the Kibo K250 series in 2019 and the Kibo K160 series in 2020. In May 2021 the company launched the 2nd generation Kibo K160R which has enhanced features as well as improved performance capabilities.

Kibo Africa continues to invest in research, product development and safety testing in order to ensure that every motorcycle that is released into the market meets the customers’ needs as well as global mobility safety standards.
