APA Apollo Foundation and Swiss Re Commits 5M to aid against Covid-19 in Kenya

Donation will go to COVID-19 relief and recovery efforts in Kenya

The fight against Covid-19 pandemic in Kenya has received a boost after The APA Apollo Foundation together with the Swiss Reinsurance Corporation donated Ksh.5 million to the Kenya Covid-19 Emergency Response Fund.

The foundation has been at the forefront of supporting several initiatives in the country and so far donated more than Ksh 10 Million since March this year.

 In addition to the donation of money, the APA staff members have donated their time to assist distribute the care packages.

Part of the APA Apollo Foundation’s donation is from a Director representing Swiss Reinsurance Corporation. The donation aims to make a difference to the people and societies they serve, now and in the future.

Care Package was established in March 2020 to support and protect vulnerable people and ensure food security in Kenya due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Care Package, in conjunction with the ‘Stand With Kenya’ campaign, have already assisted 8000 families with food, face masks and sanitisation items.
