Uhuru extends night curfew, lockdown of Nairobi by another 21 days
President Uhuru Kenyatta has today extended a cessation of all movement by road rail or air in and out of Nairobi, Kilifi, Mombasa and Kwale counties for a further 21 days to 6th June 2020.
In a live national address from State House Nairobi, Uhuru said that relaxation of measures put in place would put the country at risk of a second wave of infection as witnessed in some of the Countries like Ghana and Singapore that did ease lockdown measures.
Similarly, the nationwide curfew has also been extended by 21 days to 6th June to help contain the spread of COVID-19.
The latest extensions come as the Country confirmed 49 more COVID-19 cases raising the total number of positive case to 830.
